“c’mere man, i wanna talk to you” is an interactive, multimedia CD-ROM composed in Macromedia Director: features kinetic image and text, sound, Quicktime video and interactivity via Lingo scripting. The subject of “c’mere man, i wanna talk to you” is two years’ worth of self-portrait drawings, one from 1984, one from 1996, that have a dialog about their creator. The work was completed during a semester-long sabbatical leave from Northern Kentucky University. The two primary goals of the project were to learn multimedia authoring software, and to create an original work of art that would exploit the potential of interactive, time-based media. self-initiated project | 1996 |
