The Design Institute (then Design Initiative) hosted a one day Design Summit with four national speakers invited to share their work and ideas, and to lead panels in a discussion; this poster advertised the event and was also a calendar for Design Week. Bill Stumpf, William Mitchell, Sheila Lavrant de Bretteville, and Henry Petroski were the featured speakers.

The huge amount of negative space in the poster’s interior is a conceptual void as well, a commentary on the future.
